About Me

I’m Caroline Lindqvist, a London based cardboard and paper artist from South of Sweden. My art draws inspiration from the Scandinavian nature and culture, dark creatures, past travels and my personal reflections on life.

I’ve always had a deep connection to nature and I find beauty in the organic shapes of the natural world, but I’m equally fascinated by the mysterious and the eerie. My artwork evokes both curiosity and edginess. Through my art I explore the opposites of life - light and shadow - peaceful and wild.

The sculptures are thoughtfully crafted from repurposed materials such as cardboard boxes, tissue paper, paper bags, and newspapers, with a touch of glue and paint to bring them to life. Each piece is a reflection of life and thought, capturing moments and ideas in a form that invites connection and contemplation.

By embracing repurposed materials, my art practice celebrates the beauty of transformation while minimising waste. Collecting these sculptures offers not just a work of art, but a story - one that blends sustainability, personal reflection, and the creative reimagining of the everyday.

I'm drawn to the art of storytelling, especially through film and prop making. I love how horror and fantasy can create such vivid worlds and spark the imagination. There's something fascinating about how these genres use light, shadow, and emotion to bring stories to life, and they've been a big source of inspiration for my own work.
